住友化学 タイの石化プロジェクトにPO製造技術供与
住友化学工業は、タイPTTグローバルケミカル(以下、PTTGC社)との間で、同社が進める石油化学プロジェクトに、プロピレンオキサイド(PO)の製造技術をライセンス供与することで合意した。
PTTGC社は現在、ポリウレタンチェーンの構築に向けて、子会社を通じたPOおよびポリオール生産設備の新設プロジェクトを進めており、PO生産には住友化学が独自に開発した製造技術の採用を決めている。新設するPOプラントの能力は年産20万㌧で、2020年第２四半期に完工予定。
