商船三井(東京都港区)は、インドSwan Energy Limitedが主導するインドグジャラート州のLNG受入ターミナル建設・運営プロジェクトにおいて、事業主体のSwan LNG Private Limited(以下、Swan LNG)との間で、受入基地の中核となるFSRU(浮体式LNG貯蔵再ガス化設備)１隻の長期保守操業契約、FSU(浮体式LNG貯蔵設備)１隻の提供、および長期保守操業契約を締結した。
同プロジェクトに投入されるFSRUはSwan Energy子会社が保有するが、商船三井はFSRUの共同保有事業に参画するオプションを持っており、同オプションの行使は同船の竣工までに決定する予定。また、同社はSwan LNGに出資し、ターミナル運営事業のテクニカルパートナーとして、同プロジェクトに参画する。
