三菱自 インドネシアで「エクスパンダー」販売開始
三菱自動車は10月３日、インドネシアのブカシ工場で次世代クロスオーバーMPV「エクスパンダー」のラインオフセレモニーを開催し、顧客へのデリバリーを開始した。
新型エクスパンダーの受注は好調で、８月の「第25回ガイキンド インドネシア インターナショナル オートショー」での初披露から２万3000台を超えている。同オートショー期間中だけでも受注は5000台を超え、2010年以降のオートショーで受注したすべてのモデルの中で最大となった。
2017年４月から操業開始したブカシ工場は、ジャカルタの東37㌔㍍に位置し、敷地面積は30㌶を占める。工場勤務者など関係者を含め約１万2000人の雇用を創出しており、生産増強計画を踏まえ、さらなる拡張を見据えている。
好調な受注状況に対応するため、納車期間の短縮に取り組んでおり、２直生産体制を１カ月前倒しして、10月から導入する。新型エクスパンダーは今後ASEAN地域でも販売する計画で、同国からの輸出開始は2018年初めを予定している。
