ホンダ フィリピンで着脱式可搬バッテリーで実証
ホンダは、着脱可能な可搬式バッテリー「モバイルパワーパック」を利用した充電ステーションユニット「モバイルパワーエクスチェンジャー」を余剰電力活用システムとして、フィリピンのロンブロン島に設置し、駒井ハルテック(東京都台東区)と共同でCO2削減に向けた実証実験を、今秋中に開始する。
ロンブロン島は、ディーゼル発電が主なエネルギー供給源で、高コスト、高CO2排出エネルギーに依存している。また昼夜で変動する電力需要に対し、安定的な電力供給が求められている。これらの課題解決に向け、この実証実験では駒井ハルテックが風力発電機を設置し、クリーンエネルギーを創出する。その余剰電力をホンダが設置するエクスチェンジャーを通じてモバイルパワーパックに蓄電することで、効率的に電力を活用する。これらの取り組みにより、CO2削減を目指す。
モバイルパワーパックを活用した電力供給システムの実用性の調査や実証実験は、今後他国でも展開する予定。
