タイ政府 庶民の足「トゥクトゥク」のEV化を計画
タイ政府は10月４日、首都バンコクを中心に全国で走行している三輪タクシー「トゥクトゥク」を、2020年までにすべて電気自動車(EV)に切り替える計画を発表した。
政府は「eトゥクトゥク」の購入や、使用中のトゥクトゥクをEV化する改造修理への支援金を支給する。エネルギー省によると、現在走行中のトゥクトゥクは２万2000台で、これがすべてeトゥクトゥクになれば年間２万㌧の石油消費の削減につながるという。
ガソリンや液化石油ガス(LPG)を燃料に、黒い煙をまき散らしながら走るトゥクトゥクは、老朽化した車両が多く、市民の間では走行中の排ガスや騒音に対する批判も多い。
